Is Key Magia Music the right music school for your child care center or family?
Key Magia Music provides music classes to families and child cares in northern Colorado. We know that it is important for you to find the right place for your child(ren) to experience the joy of music, make friends and grow as a person. Come be a part of the Key Magia Music family and let music be the magic key that unlocks a world of possibilities for your child(ren). 1. Musically-rich and developmentally appropriate classes Our music classes are full of fun, child-oriented music activities that you will love. Singing, fingerplays, movement and rhythm instruments are all a part of our classes. Development for children in the first 5 years of life is very individual. Our instructor takes this into consideration as she teaches her classes, focusing on the individual needs of each child. 2. Experienced early childhood music educator Our teacher, Alisa Richter, has a bachelor's degree in music therapy in addition to training in early childhood education. She has extensive experience working with young children in both the therapy and education settings. She loves having the opportunity to play a critical role in each child's musical proficiency as well as their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. She strives to make each student feel welcome and to get to know on a personal level all who attend her music classes. Alisa is passionate about sharing the joy of music with children of all ages and abilities. 3. Activities that can be used in your classroom or home Key Magia Music’s classes are taught in a fun and play-based manner to keep students interacting with the music throughout each class. It is encouraged that the songs and activities learned in class become part of your classroom and home life as well. If you have questions about how to use music outside of our class time, please ask! 4. Learning music can help with life skills Music has a far-reaching impact on the development of young children. Singing songs and rhymes improves early language and communication skills as well as increasing a child's vocabulary. By listening, following directions, sharing, taking turns and participating in the music activities, children grow in their ability to interact well with others. Music class also gives them a sense of being an individual part of a whole group, where their contributions and creativity matter and are encouraged. Moving to music and playing instruments allows children to practice and improve upon gross and fine motor coordination as well as eye-hand coordination while having fun. Actively participating in music is a sensory experience including hearing, touching, seeing, and moving throughout the class. http://www.aep-arts.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Music-Matters-Final.pdf http://www.earlychildhoodnews.com/earlychildhood/article_view.aspx?ArticleID=601 http://www.wheaton.edu/CSA/Lessons/Long-Term-Benefits-of-Music-Study 5. This includes singing in tune, keeping a steady beat and participating in music joyfully and confidently. Key Magia Music's classes are not only educational but fun for everyone!
